How to build pie sheets?

I bought the pie sheets but you can also make them at home (recipe here). We are talking about thin sheets for strudel not the puff pastry type (as for cremeschnitte or pies).

We work on the kitchen table. Place the first sheet on a baking paper (it will help us later), brush with melted butter, sprinkle lightly with grated lemon peel. Optionally you can add a little sugar (half a teaspoon grated on a sheet). I also added sugar because it caramelizes easily and gives a special flavor to the leaves. Then place the next sheet and repeat the procedure until I overlapped 4 sheets.

Because I chose a round tart shape of 26 (and at least 5 cm high), I placed the staggered sheets on top of each other. If you use a square or rectangular shape (about 20 & # 21525) place the sheets on top of each other. As you can see again, I found some awful, dry, broken sheets. But don't worry, at least I'll show you how to work with broken sheets, as you've probably suffered.

With the help of baking paper, lift the sheets, place them in the shape and press lightly with your fingers to reach the lower edge of the form.

How to prepare cream cheese for cheese pie?

For the cream cheese, separate the egg whites and beat them with a pinch of salt until a hard foam is formed. Then add the sugar and continue beating the foam until it becomes firm, dense. Then add (also with the mixer) the yolks. Then mix with a palette of grated lemon peel (I have lemon zest in a jar) and starch, finally add the cheese and incorporate everything with the palette so as not to crush the egg whites. If you find too much sugar you can put less (70-80 g).

Cow's cheese should be a fat one, well drained of whey, preferably bought from the market, from producers.

Pie with sweet cow's cheese and raisins. A simple cake with cottage cheese, lots of vanilla and grated lemon peel, with raisins and cranberries, wrapped in simple pie sheets (commercial). A quick, cheap and simple dessert but very good.

The pie is ready in the blink of an eye and is so good that it disappears instantly from the plate. Until I cut a slice for each, already the first served returned with an empty plate. I made this pie on March 8, for a small meeting with my friends.

As I said in previous recipes, cow cheese (sweet cow's cheese) goes well with vanilla and grated lemon peel. Don't skimp on vanilla. I added raisins, but they can also be put candied orange peels, cranberries or other dried fruits. This way you always get another cheese pie.

Besides the famous pandispan with cherries, the well-known cream of burnt sugar and the bread with egg and sugar clearly fit in the top of the sweets requested by the little ones, the pie with sweet cheese and raisins like grandma's. What ingredients do you need and what is the preparation?

Sweet cheese pie is one of the simple, cheap and very quick desserts to make if you don't dare to make heavy cakes or if you don't have much time to spend in the kitchen. It doesn't require many ingredients, the preparation method is easy and you don't even have to keep an eye on the recipe to respect the weights exactly. Take a few sheets of pie and leave them at room temperature while heating the oven. Mix the chosen sweet cheese with eggs, vanilla sugar and regular sugar.

Put the raisins that you can leave before soaking in milk or rum in cream cheese and add vanilla, almond or rum essences to taste. Also according to your preferences, put the peel of a lemon and the peel of an orange given on the small part of a grater and mix all the ingredients. Put a part of the sheets, over the first layer put the cream cheese, put a few more sheets in the middle, another consistent layer of cheese and at the end another part of the sheets. Halfway through baking, take out the tray and put a mixture of eggs and sour cream to give it a & # 8220 face & # 8221, meaning to look well browned and fluffy. It must be served cold!

We all like pate with cheese, strudel with cheese or pie with salted or sweet cheese. My mother made cheese pie with homemade dough but not puff pastry and as normal as apple pie.

There are many ways you can make a cheese pie, but the first thing we need to stick to is the dough, either we buy it or we make it at home. Usually the cheese pie is made with puff pastry which is quite difficult to make at home so it is best and easiest to buy it ready made. Even if it's commercially available, it's okay and Jamie Oliver recommends buying ready-made dough.

After you get rid of the choice of dough, we move on to the filling, sweet cheese or salted cheese, but sometimes the dietary one works because either we make it salty with a little salt or we add sugar and sweeten it. I chose to make it with sweet cheese, in fact I had diet cheese that I sweetened with sugar and I added 1-2 eggs and a little sour cream.

For a special flavor I recommend rum essence, a little lemon peel and raisins. The secret to making raisins soft and fragrant is to keep them in the essence of rum or brandy for at least 2 hours to hydrate well and to draw from the aroma of the essence or brandy. It is good even in the liquid in which the raisins are hydrated to mix 1-2 tablespoons of sugar, to be sweet. I didn't try, but I definitely think it would work to put some dried apricots cut into smaller pieces.

We punctuated the dough and the filling we started working, the assembly is easy with the sheets to buy for the pie. One sheet of dough is then greased with oil another sheet of dough again oil and so on. Put the filling then create the top sheet from the same. Prick the top sheet with a fork or a knife tip and then grease it with an egg yolk with 2-3 tablespoons of cold water to take on a beautiful golden color.

Bake in the oven for about 40-50 minutes and when it is removed, moisten the top sheet with a little cold water, and even put a damp cloth so that the sheet does not crumble easily.
